🌲 Where it started
I grew up in Palo Alto startup culture, surrounded by people who didn't just have ideas, they built them. That taught me early the power of design. Design is where we give ideas shape that people can actually see and hold onto.
🌱 Empowering users in new technology early
I'm proud to have shipped an AI coaching tool inside a platform serving 85+ Fortune 100 companies, and built the design system from zero for a blockchain dApp that scaled to $1B+ market cap in four months.

I'm drawn to problems nobody's solved yet, earlier and rawer the better. That is how I got into AI-powered design in 2021 and blockchain before it went mainstream, and excited for new opportunities everyday!

SILICON VALLEY: Rooted in Startup Culture
1990-2009 Witnessed the birth of modern tech growing up in Palo Alto, which taught me to:
Be accustomed to embracing risk.
Build from the ground up.
Iterate quickly.
2012 Graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a foundation for a career spent making complicated things learnable, driven by empathy.
♥ PERSONAL INSIGHT I was raised by a single mom with two older brothers. We didn’t fit the suburban mold, but my mom worked hard so we could have a good education. The internet was a glorious place to escape where I built GeoCities pages, grew a NeoPets empire, wrote prolific teenage rants on customized Xanga/LiveJournal/Blogger pages (yes, with background music and cool marquees). xXazNraveNXx XD ^_^
SINGAPORE: International Refinement Era
2017-2019 Took the leap overseas. Designed for a B2B platform in the diamond industry at IIa Technologies, then became sole designer and UX Design Manager at meta.us, an esports startup founded by ex-Blizzard directors, building a design system and product from zero.
♥ PERSONAL INSIGHT this era is when I got a taste of designing in a space that I had genuine personal interest in (and fun!), video games. It was a privilege to work in the Singapore startup, gaming, and esports industry, where detailed design and craft is valued highly.
SILICON SLOPES: Career Cultivation Era
2012-2017 Started at Richter7, Utah’s top ad agency, designing campaigns for Wendy's and Hogle Zoo, winning an ADDY along the way. Then moved into e-commerce at Perfectly Posh, designing through the intense traffic spikes and 16-hour work days for seasonal launches.
♥ PERSONAL INSIGHT this era is when I balanced multiple agency clients, their brand guidelines, and managed endless stacks of creative briefs as a Digital Designer. Through numerous layoffs, I continued to prove myself as an essential asset to the creative team.
And Beyond
2021-2026 Embraced startup roots and built zero to one twice, for a blockchain gaming platform and an on-chain finance platform.
Built the DFK design system, shipped the flows, and it reached $1B+ market cap in four months and 2M users. Led a team of four designers at peak.
I spoke in panels and led workshops around the world on UX in web3, sharing the design challenges with onboarding users to new technology and the creative solutions that empowered users.
Now designing HODL Bonds, from the design system to the "Build a Bond" flow to Ask Snowy (conversational AI feature) where it has reached $400K in trading volume within 2 months of launch.
♥ PERSONAL INSIGHT This era is about taking everything from growing up in startup environment + cultural empathy + advertising agency foundation + international design refinement + enterprise structural workflow, putting it all into a project.
SILICON SLOPES 2.0: Enterprise Expansion Era
2019-2021 Joined NICE and promoted to Senior UX Designer, working within the CXone design system including an acquisition integration.
Led the design of the call experience for Real-Time Interaction Guidance, NICE's real-time AI coaching tool, now part of NICE Copilot for Agents. It included integrating the feature with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (LDS).
♥ PERSONAL INSIGHT oh boy, this was during the pandemic. I was ecstatic to get a big girl job at a global enterprise B2B SaaS company and 3 months after being hired, the world shut down, as we all know. Everything transitioned to remote work and we maintained success in roadmap goals, was promoted, all while navigating the global crisis.
